Im so pleased the Chancellor has announced millions of £‘s for innovative and entrepreneurial companies in the future but can’t pay furlough to nurseries where the children are not being given a chance to be innovative in their future as nurseries won’t survive this

Nursery staff are not allowed to be furloughed if they have received government funding. Funding is to provide early years education which means premises rent and all other business cost. Can you help as many nurseries will have to close? #martinlewis

Watching GMB this morning where the focus is BA in financial trouble. Piers Morgan says no one should lose their jobs. That clearly doesn’t mean nursery workers as the government u turn to furlough staff means that’s a reality #sosad

I would love someone from the DFE to explain why schools are getting additional funding for school to cope with the coronavirus and early years couldn’t even furlough all their staff #itsjustnotfair

So the DFE are clapping for all the childcarers. We don’t need that we get all the thanks we need from our children and families. All we wanted was a bit of financial help so we can survive this and re open to a lot more children in September

So how come only nursery, reception, yr 1 and yr 6 are coming back when Gavin Williamson says how vital school is especially for vulnerable and disadvantaged children. What about these children on other years do they not matter???

So every Thursday night we show our appreciation to those front line workers yet I’m pretty sure they would prefer you not to flock to the beach. Some of us would prefer to get back to some sort of normal!

I am truly appalled at the safety Morrisons have shown today. No security so the shop was packed, shelves being re stocked which I know is needed but blocking the aisles. I am a key worker and I am feeling unsafe and can’t get an online shop until the 29th #thisisnotacceptable

I’m confused. So driving 260 miles to safeguard your child is one thing but then to put your child in a car and drive 30 mins to make sure you can see properly? Dominic Cummings needs to rethink that as it’s not safeguarding driving a car when your vision is impaired!!

I totally support all NHS and social care staff getting the antibody test but surely all childcare workers should be eligible considering they are working with such a mixture of people. Please Sir Gavin Williamson CBE MP stop putting us ar the bottom on the pile!!!!

I’m honestly at a loss with this country. I’m called an essential worker and above a certain age and have just had my flu jab cancelled due to them running out! Matt Hancock this is just too much leaving already vulnerable people at more risk!!!

I wish more than ever that children under 5 could get support in such difficult times, just because they don’t HAVE to go to school doesn’t mean they don’t matter. They need good healthy food too

Worrying when the prime minister doesn’t understand early years are open to all children not just those of critical workers and vulnerable children and even more disgraceful that we have been opened with no clue how funding will work.

Smartys Nursery (@smartysnursery3) 's Twitter Profile Photo

It would be so much easier for the government to be honest and tell us in the early years that the decision to stay open is purely financial than them keep making mistakes as to who is coming at the moment. It’s ALL CHILDREN!!!

Smartys Nursery (@smartysnursery3) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Can someone tell me why it’s not just the government ignoring the early years but it seems it’s not important to the media either. An odd mention. It’s really not good enough, our lives matter too!!

From all of us at Smarty’s Nursery we would like to send Sir Captain Tom Moore’s family our sincere condolences at this very sad time. A wonderful man who gave us all such hope in such hard times x

What a disgrace to prioritise people that have a choice as to where they work to get tests yet still us nurseries are not important enough. I cannot express how this makes us early years workers feel!!!
