Today, I started my day with a cardio workout and some basic exercises at the gym. Even at 75 years old, I'm grateful that I can still lift weights, do push-ups, and run on the treadmill.

Yesterday, I had the privilege to hand over the 🇦🇺-built Guardian-class patrol boat RFNS Puamau to 🇫🇯

This ceremony marked the second new patrol boat delivered to Fiji under the Pacific Maritime Security Program & will continue the important work in upholding maritime security.

The naval vessel will greatly assist Fiji in its efforts to combat threats to its maritime territories, tackling issues such as illegal fishing and transnational organised crime, including drug trafficking.

Exciting news from the Ministry of Education - 35% of our hardworking workforce, totaling 4884 officers, will be receiving a well-deserved pay increase. This includes 739 Early Childhood Education teachers, 3993 assistant teachers, and 152 non-teaching officers.

The government will increase the hourly rate for apprentices from the existing $2.00 by adding another $2.98, making the total salary of $4.98 per hour.

Three government schools received a total of five SOLIS tractors, paving the way for a brighter future in agriculture. With one tractor for Adi Cakobau and two each for RKS and QVS, these schools will now have the necessary tools to ensure food security.

The days of crossing an unsafe bridge and bamboo rafts are now a thing of the past for the children and villagers of Naqarawai Village in Namosi. Their suspension bridge now opened after full restoration work was carried out with funding of $50,000 donated by China.

Children of Lokia Village in Rewa can now safely travel to and from their homes without having to face the dangers of a dilapidated crossing. This is after the commissioning of their new and improved foot-crossing .

The long-standing challenge of commuting to and from their homes by crossing a river has finally come to an end for the villagers of Vunamoli, in the district of Rukuruku in the interior Ba.
