Spoke to Parker Valby about her (at least) 4 hours/ week on the Arc Trainer, and the Palmers provided great insight. Is it replicable? Technically yes. But few people could push themselves the way she does. Will watch her 10K debut tonight with interest. runnersworld.com/runners-storie…

'The upshot is that on Feb. 3 in Orlando, the most compelling contest of the day will likely be for second place in the men’s race.'—Scott Douglas with the clearest explanation I've seen about the American situation for Olympic qualifying at the Trials.

hypothetically,

if I was going to nominate a film about a badger,
starring a badger,
called 'Badger,'

Been talking to Olympic Marathon Trials competitors, many of whom have their four-legged friends with them in Orlando currently. I feel like an enterprising person could make bank dog sitting during the race! (Live shot of low energy Buddy Butler, who will not be in Orlando.)

Haven't read the Times article yet about Tommy DeVito, because I stopped at this photo—and what it says about the current state of sports media.
