#HB2570 fails to guarantee affordability and risks years of thoughtful urban planning and public participation that have successfully created desirable and safe communities for Arizona residents. The City of Surprise joins Arizona League in asking Governor Katie Hobbs to veto this bill.
Thank you Governor Katie Hobbs for your veto on HB2570. We agree there is a housing supply shortage and a lack of affordable housing. But, we need to ensure that any housing legislation to address these issues translates to lower costs for buyers ensuring responsible city growth.
