Today at forest school some of the children decided to make an Autumn lantern using special leaves that they found in the woods. Next week the children have asked to try lighting tea lights inside their lanterns so we will be learning about fire safety and striking a match.

Our librarian has created a wonderful Christmas tree made of books for our children to enjoy!

During the Spring Term we will be taking part in the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) Bird Watch. Pupils will identify birds that are spotted on the school grounds. They will learn how to care for our birds through the winter months.

This week we are celebrating Chinese New Year. 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit. People born in the Year of the Rabbit are believed to be viligant, quick-minded and ingenious. Previous years have been 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999 and 2011.

In Year 5 we have been learning about the inspirational artist Yayoi Kusama. She is obsessed with dots. We created our own interpretations of her pumpkins and we also created our version of one of Kusama's incredible installations, 'The Obliteration Room'.

Happy World Book Day 2023! Well done to all the children for their super costumes! We enjoyed the Spelling Bee, drama activities and a fun book fair in the afternoon.

It was great learning about Holi yesterday, the Hindu festival of light. Cultural Society would like to say a big thank you to all the helpers for their contribution on the day.

We had musicians from the Norfolk Music Hub in today performing music from TV and Film. They also taught the school about their instruments.

In Year 6 we are meeting people with different careers. Last Wednesday, Callum visited us from Lotus cars. We were amazed by an incredible car that we found parked on our playground!
