The numbers in this must be wrong. It suggests hard pressed UK taxpayers will pay £570m for one year of Erasmus?! Turing - which helps more UK students - costs little more than £100m. If the numbers are correct this is a terrible deal at a time when apparently there is no money.

This seems really bizarre. Loads more EU students will come to the UK to be educated without charge than UK students will go to the EU. So this is an agreement to pay over half a billion pounds for the doubtful privilege of educating loads of EU students for free. Why?+

Just a tenth of the £570m the Government has just squandered on Erasmus+ would pay for the Crown Courts to sit those remaining 19,000 days. But they'd rather curtail trial by jury and spend the money on foreign jaunts for over-privileged students instead.

The government is set to pay £840 million a year for membership of Erasmus once the first-year discount ends. This is more than 10% of the entire £7.5 billion budget that the government spends on British universities per year. Truly the worst negotiators in history.

This is a disgrace. Even during the pandemic elections were not cancelled for a *second* year running. Slashing jury trials. Cancelling elections. These are the hallmarks of a government that doesn’t trust the people.

We can’t go on like this.

I agree lobsters should not be boiled alive. I also don’t think babies should be aborted up to birth, nor animals killed by being bled to death without being stunned. Astonishing Labour thinks the latter two are fine.

With yet another u-turn from this god awful Labour Party, Will the NHS collapse due to the necessity of the tax from the farmers now missing like they said it would?

When the 3 most powerful politicians in the UK openly state this man is their main priority, you soon realise how broken the UK has become. How did we get here?

I’m seriously open to suggestions: why has the prime minister, whose account doesn’t post often, openly celebrated bringing a man to the UK who only became a citizen in 2021 and has frequently supported violence and insulted his adoptive country?
