Thank you NewsGuild of New York AGAIN for supporting us. We can’t believe we’re in our SIXTH week of the strike. It’s a shame TVO.me won’t even sit down with us. What are they afraid of? That they’ll discover we’re reasonable and what we’re asking for is achievable? TVO CMG is at work!

Since TVO.me is having fun with math in it's press release about TVO CMG is at work!, let's get this fact right: CEO Jeffrey L. Orridge makes $298,380 per annum, far more than his boss, minister of eduction Stephen Lecce, ($165,851), and $90k more than the PREMIER of Ontario (Doug Ford $208,974)🤦‍♀️

The people, aka CMG workers, have spoken! We’ve turned down this insulting offer from TVO. We’re already down approx. 13% over the past 10 years with average increases of 0.8% each year (yes, you read that right!). We’ve never been stronger in our resolve. #UnionStrong TVO CMG is at work!

Hard to believe we’ve been on strike for 45 days! We’re still #UnionStrong and know we’ll get through this. Hopefully TVO.me will recognize that inflation is soaring and we just can’t live with an average 0.8% yearly increase that we received in the past.

I can't believe I missed Gary AGAIN! Apparently he had a very nice visit with his fellow CMGers today. One of the nice things about being on strike for 44 days is we're all becoming STRONGER as a team. #UnionStrong.

Binding arbitration would bring an IMMEDIATE end to this strike. What a terrible, needless waste of taxpayer’s money. Stephen Lecce Doug Ford Caroline Mulroney Jeffrey L. Orridge can end this TODAY.

Since TVO.me has admitted it is unable to resolve the TVO CMG is at work! strike, Doug Ford, Caroline Mulroney & Stephen Lecce need to direct them to binding arbitration. Otherwise, it will begin to look like the government is fine with the decline of (yet another?) uniquely #OntarioMade institution.

It’s wild that the Ontario gov would actively refuse to adequately fund public journalism and education programming in a time when we need it most. The US had lost tens of thousands of journalists in the last decade. Do not be like the US. Fund TVO because it matters.
