2 talented Compass students created a shockingly believable makeup job for the “victim” in our First Responders final scenario tonight: responding to & investigating a “crime scene” at CA in various roles including 911 dispatcher, EMT, police detective, and forensic investigator.

A few inquiry-based science activities from the last two weeks: Electrochemistry Ss created galvanic batteries, & Invertebrate Bio Ss dissected squids & roundworms, & collected specimens from the Fox River to investigate the health of the water system. #STEM

For an independent study project, Josh W. brainstormed guitar designs, decided on the tools & materials he’d need, & then applied his knowledge in acoustics, physics, woodworking, & problem-solving to design & build this beautifully crafted guitar. Here he is playing it. #pbl

Coffee & Chocolate Festival was a huge hit! Visitors enjoyed delicious, student-created chocolates, tasty hot cocoa & coffee drinks, & impressive student artwork in a festive atmosphere. The chocolates were formed in molds created in a collaborative culinary & CAD student effort.
