Appropriate for this New York Times article - I can’t find it online. But some great stats about students NOT actually equating sitting in front of a device as engagement (and admin thinking the opposite).

Spent a lot of time thinking about how we carry out our mission of “Inquiry for Every Classroom” as teachers, family members, and students are being asked to teach and learn in unfamiliar ways. We know these tools won’t work for every context, but hope they support those looking.

Many social studies teachers are if anything, handed an outmoded, often inaccurate, textbook as their only resource. If we want to raise the bar for what social studies instruction looks like in our classrooms, we have to first support teachers with materials that meet that bar.
