We are extending spring break to Wednesday, March 18 for students (no classes) and all classes will be conducted through virtual instruction from Thursday, March 19 through at least Saturday, April 4. (2/3)

President Danko has issued an important message to the Butler community regarding COVID-19—find the latest update, and all other messages, here:

Highlights of my message to Butler University community: #1) I would like to take pause from the planning and logistics, and provide some thoughts on the current global crisis, our campus situation, and the impact it is having on each of us in a personal and emotional way.

#3) I am confident together we will reach the other side of this crisis and that campus life will return to normal. The preventative measures being taken by organizations such as cities, universities, and sports leagues are critical to confronting this health emergency.

#7) I regret that your college experience is now subject to such uncertainty. As a parent and as your president, I wish I could prevent this. But my highest priority is to keep you safe. You are one of the generations of Butler students to confront a serious public crisis.

Erin Quigley You can pick up critically needed items on March 15 between 10:00 AM–8:00 PM and March 16 between Noon–4:00 PM. Consider this a grab-n-go visit. Students will only be able to spend 20 minutes in the building to retrieve items that are critical to their academics and their health.

Though this may be inconvenient to some, please recognize that this is an evolving issue that requires difficult decisions, and our administration is working tirelessly to put students and their safety at the center of these decisions. Stay well and stay kind, Dawgs💙
