I had a phone call with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau. I thanked him for CAD 2.4 billion in aid to the Ukrainian budget and significant defense support. We discussed in detail the situation on the battlefield and further security needs of Ukraine.

Canada’s support for Ukraine remains steadfast. This morning, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and I spoke about how Ukrainians continue to defend their sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence - and about what more Canada can do to help. Here’s what we’re doing:

Glad to meet the Prime Minister of Canada 🇨🇦 Justin Trudeau in Kyiv. We discussed Canada's involvement in 🇺🇦's reconstruction. I thanked Canada for an additional 400 million USD in military aid and assistance in dealing with the aftermath of the Kakhovka HPP explosion.
