🌟Every journey begins with a single step, & for Bridgette & her family, that step brought them closer to accessible #healthcare . Thanks to the #maternity services at Murama #Healthpost , their struggle with long & costly trips to distant facilities, is now a thing of the past.🏥
Hand hygiene is one of the most effective interventions for health.
To wash your hands properly, use clean water and soap 💧🧼for at least 40-60 seconds, or an alcohol-based handrub.
Clean your hands, and save lives.

💫On this #InternationalDayOfTheMidwife , we celebrate the role of midwives & recognize that supporting their capacity building can tremendously improve the quality of care & ultimately reduces #maternal & #newborn mortality. 🤰🏾👶🏾🏥

🇷🇼In Rwanda, #healthposts are greatly improving access to #healthcare services for rural communities in hard-to-reach areas. By reducing the travel time from 3-4hrs down to 30 minutes walking distance, safe, effective, quality & affordable primary #healthcare is available to all.
This evening, Minister Dr. Valentine Uwamariya graced the presentation of 'Entendez-Nous,' a compelling book authored by the collective of the widows of the Genocide Against Tutsi AVEGA-Agahozo.
This profound work echoes testimonies, struggles, reconstitution, and hope. #Kwibuka30 .
