The best way to address homelessness is to prevent it. Keep landlords from raising rents + evicting hundreds of thousands of families per yr, raise the min. wage, build public housing. That would make a real difference compared to what we're doing right now which is nothing.

Every time I talk to tenants for an extended period of time about evictions in their community, they invariably and unprompted complain about new developments in their area. Not that they are new or that they are multifamily homes but that they are clearly unable to afford them
