On 3/22, the Town Council Chair received a resignation letter from Councilor Paul Johnson. The Town Council will hold a Special Meeting on 3/30 at 6pm to consider setting the date for making nomination papers available and to set the date for the Special Municipal Election.

Our first “Council Corner Live”, a conversational-style session, will be held on Thursday, March 31 at 5:30pm. We'll discuss growth in Scarborough with councilors Jon Anderson and April Sither. The event will be in-person at Town Hall, with an option to participate via Zoom.

At the August 29 Scarborough Planning Board meeting, the Town issued site plan approval for a new 161,100 SF Costco retail store and gas station. It will be located in the Downs development, in close proximity to I-95 Exit 42. This is the first Costco store for Maine.
