We are asking for too much from each other during the Pandemic. All of us. Professionally and personally. It's astonishing to me that folks are trying to keep up the normal pace with EVERYTHING. We need to slow down and pay attention in this remarkable moment or it will cost us.

I don’t think nondisabled people realize how callous it is to say “maybe you weren’t good enough” when we point out we were kept out of a dream of ours. The truth is, we don’t know. No one takes us seriously. You don’t build accessible infrastructure. You dont know how

Our response to covid sometimes makes me feel like we’ve been too lax about other common viruses, like the cold and flu. People would go to work/school and casually talk about having a cold, while not wearing a mask and not really distancing from others. That needs to stop.

The United States is really trying to end this pandemic by solely relying on people to just wake up one day and act completely differently. It is as if our entire public health system is now depending on individualism (and personal wealth) to save us.

Is it 'Black people don't trust medicine'? Or is it that the U.S. medical system has a history of disrespecting, disregarding, and losing the trust of the Black community?

I will repeat this forever. Make yourself an email folder called "Praise." Save ALL the emails people send you complimenting your work, big and small. On the days when it's just really hard and you feel like nothing is going right - that folder will bring you joy!

I’ve been living with chronic migraine for almost 5 years now & endometriosis since I was 16, I received this response on Twitter the other day. There are some really cruel & terrible people out there that say harmful things and blaming patients for putting victim hood on others.

COVID has a good chance of killing me so messaging centered around "everyone is going to get covid eventually" is not super helpful or comforting.
