I’ve become allergic to rhetorical questions in writing ever since AI came out. If you have a version of “here’s the thing:” in your writing from the last two years, I automatically assume it’s AI at this point.

Much better idea to be curious than accusatory. "Why did you do that?" → "How did you see that situation?" "Who did this?" → "What happened here and how can we stop it from happening again?"

Does anyone like being spoken to like they’re a child? The overwhelming tone of most non-fiction I read is preachy and prescriptive. Who likes being spoken to this way?
