I deplore in the strongest possible terms Iran’s unjustified attack against Israel. This is a serious escalation putting more lives at risk. The top priority should be stopping any further escalation in the region.

Two major differences: Ukraine doesn’t have Iron Dome (because Israel has so far prioritised relations with Russia over helping a country in need), & no US, UK or French aircraft have been in the air to help Ukraine shoot down drones & missiles. If we help Israel, we shd help UA.

One part in the book I’m writing deals with Western double standards, rushing to step in and protect everybody except Ukraine, because doing for Ukraine what you do for others would be “escalatory”. That part was already quite long and has just got longer.

The attack on 🇮🇱 tonight was of a magnitude that 🇺🇦 suffers on a fairly regular basis. Same drones. Similar missiles. Week after week. Month after month.

When you leave partners like Ukraine without support you embolden our adversaries like Iran.

Like Russia does, Tehran wants to see how much it can get away with. China watching too.

U.S. must immediately re-establish deterrence in Europe, the Middle East and East Asia.

Completely correct. Putin's great success has been in persuading the West of Russia's strength and its own weakness, when the reality is that the West has many times the capabilities of Russia.

The “Asia First” folks should take note that the Japanese and other Asian democracies think that Russian aggression against Ukraine affects them as well.

Ukraine now lacking air defense, Russian jets freely fly over the front line as they never have, free to accurately hit Ukrainian positions with guided aerial bombs.

There's nothing Ukraine can do now but lose positions.

The West needs to understand what this soon means.
