Fokus för Finlands statsbesök är hur 🇸🇪 och 🇫🇮 ska fördjupa samarbetet inom samhällets alla områden, inte minst inom säkerhets- och försvarspolitiken.

Säkerhetsläget i omvärlden har gjort relationen mellan 🇫🇮 och 🇸🇪 än mer betydelsefull.

🇸🇪🇫🇮 Enhanced cooperation

The focus of Finland’s State Visit is on how Sweden and Finland can deepen their cooperation in all areas, not least security and defence policy. The international security situation has made relations between 🇫🇮 and 🇸🇪 all the more important.

Day 2 of the 🇫🇮 State Visit:

HM The King and Alexander Stubb will be in Gothenburg for visits to the university, the port and the Älvsborg Marine Regiment, and lunch at the County Governor’s residence. The visit will conclude with a reception at the Gothenburg Museum of Art.

Dag två av det 🇫🇮 statsbesöket besöker H.M. Konungen och Alexander Stubb Göteborg för besök på universitetet, hamnen och Älvsborgs amfibieregemente samt en lunch på landshövdingens residens. Besöket avslutas med en svarsmottagning på Göteborgs konstmuseum. 🇸🇪🇫🇮

In a time of geopolitical challenges, Nordic-Baltic cooperation is more important than ever. This year, 🇸🇪 and 🇫🇮 have a special role in closer regional security cooperation – 🇸🇪 coordinating the N5 and NB8 and 🇫🇮 through its Presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States.

The Finnish State Visit starts today. HM The King will welcome President Stubb. Following a welcome ceremony at the Royal Palace, Mr Stubb will speak in the Riksdag, followed by a meeting with Prime Minister Kristersson and a business seminar. The day will end with a gala dinner.

Excellent news from the Hill in DC tonight on the vote to support Ukraine 🇺🇦 This will bring much wanted aid to its fighting troops that are also fighting for our freedom. We are grateful to the people of the USA 🇺🇸 for their efforts.

In today's G7 Italy meeting, we discussed the need for peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, the South China Sea, and the Korean Peninsula, and our efforts to strengthen and reimagine relationships in the region.
