🧵 This is already making rounds, so I will try to shed some more light on March/April 2022 Ukraine-Russia talks since the article is still far from the point, and because Poland played a much bigger role than anyone is willing to admit publicly

It is indeed hard to describe US approach to Israel and Ukraine as anything but double standards.
Apart from this moralizing notion, so often misused, the damage that the US is doing to its interests and power by failing Ukraine is growing by the day. Adversaries are watching.

Moscow is extremly confident they can exploit the current 🇺🇸 weakness to achieve decisive results.
It is now up to 🇪🇺 to not make this happen.

Russia fired over 80 missiles and drones at Ukraine overnight, primarily targeting critical civilian infrastructure.

Six of them were ballistic missiles. Ukraine remains the only country in the world facing ballistic strikes. There is currently no other place for 'Patriots' to…

🇺🇦 | Should NATO Coordinate Military Support for Ukraine?

NATO has the tools & expertise to play a bigger role in providing military aid to Kyiv.

But reaching a consensus among allies, some of whom fear escalation, will be a challenge.

It's soon 20 years since the 'big bang' EU enlargement. I was happy to tell arte.tv about the success of Baltic states' accession. Now the EU faces another big historical task, with Ukraine as a candidate country

Escalating Russian attacks on Kharkiv, a major population center that remains largely inhabited, constitute another clear example of how Russia purposefully escalates the conflict without having to fear any reciprocal action from the West. 1/3

There are Patriot batteries and ammunition all over the world that could have saved Kharkiv, once a thriving city of 2 million people, but no one was willing to donate them

The Russians are trying to destroy Kharkiv completely. Why doesn't the world react? Why does the world not listen to Ukraine? The Ukrainians have almost lost their voice, so loud they are crying out for help.

Finland's neighbours always watch closely where its new leaders make their first trips abroad. Good to see President Stubb made his first visits to a NATO exercise in Norway and to Ukraine, to sign an agreement on long-term security cooperation 🇫🇮🇺🇦.
Times have changed indeed.
