If you want a picture of the future, imagine a zoom workshop about how to manage the stress of a boot stamping on your face - forever.

If you give someone a fish they'll eat for a day. But if you teach someone to conduct workshops on how hungry people can practice self-care then you dodge the question of why people are hungry while also cutting the fish budget and the savings can be passed on to the shareholders

I wish I could say I'm surprised at this, but I've seen how Queen's University has handled COVID response at all levels. They've had to be begged, pushed or publicly shamed for almost every basic concession. QueensSGPS our work isn't done yet.

Now they've got a video of a kid from a different, better-attended conference doing his tight 5, I think they've run out of steam on this one #CyberSymposium

A special shout-out to Air Canada, an airline with so many people calling to complain we couldn't get in queue over the last two weeks. Now they want to charge extra because they ran out of cheaper seats. I recommend WestJet if at all possible. Very unhappy with this service.

Amazon has had consistent net profits since early in the 00s. Its total profits exceeded historic loses during it's early growth phase during starting in 2009. Even by that conservative measure I wouldn't say they just became profitable recently, it's over 10 years.

Diversify the curriculum all you want. Even refer to it as "decolonizing the curriculum" but at least don't claim this alone transforms material conditions of domination if the pedagogy used & knowledge attained is not praxis-oriented. You can't read your way out of coloniality.
