At the opening event of #AFSForum2024, Dr. Ildephonse Musafiri, the Agriculture Minister of Rwanda, emphasized the need for productive, efficient, sustainable, and resilient food systems in Africa as a solution to the production, nutrition, and trade barriers faced on the continent.

Under the theme “Innovate, Accelerate, and Elevate,” this year’s edition of AFS Forum has just been officially opened. The forum will discuss diverse topics such as new agri-innovations & will bring together over 5,000 delegates in this sector, from 2 to 5 September. #AFSForum2024

Today, at the Africa Food Systems Forum 2024 Summit, Prime Minister Dr. Ngirente urged governments to utilize digital technologies, implement climate-resilient practices and create inclusive systems to ensure every African has access to adequate, safe, and nutritious food.

He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between governments, policymakers and the private sector to transform agriculture and secure a sustainable food supply.
