In critiquing a supposed Tory 'amnesty' (an odd way to describe the adverse legal effects of the Illegal Migration Act), should we deduce that #Labour wants to penalise asylum-seekers, in breach of Article 31 of the 1951 Convention, for using the only routes available to them?

A party that include Zarah Sultana and Natalie Elphicke is a church so broad it's offering bar mitzvahs.

The optics - and politics - of the Labour party welcoming Natalie Elphicke to its ranks are very alarming. One would be hard-pressed to find many MPs as hostile to the plight of asylum-seekers.
