The London promise: if you work hard, and get a helping hand, you can achieve anything. Immensely proud to receive a knighthood from His Majesty The King. Growing up on a council estate in Tooting, I never imagined I'd one day receive this great honour while serving as Mayor.

As the person who awarded the Honorary Doctorate to Pep Guardiola on behalf of The University of Manchester not only could you hear a pin drop while he was speaking but he got a heartfelt standing ovation from the congregation It’s not about ideology, it’s about humanity

Another nail in the ⚰️Labour have refused to mandate swift bricks while announcing the £13.2bn budget for insulation. I’ve explained how national scale insulation is destroying cavity nesting habitat without mitigating the loss & indirect mitigation with swift bricks would work.

A regrettably skewed presentation of the constitution on BBC Radio 4 Today this morning. The interview with Charlie Falconer and Ilora Finlay began with Anna Foster suggesting to Lord Falconer that "[t]he role of the Lords is to scrutinise and to improve but ultimately to uphold

Why did @bbcnews at 6pm BBC Radio 4 play President Trump’s take on the Prime Minister? Is a public interest matter and plenty of coverage of B Johnson and N Farage relationship with him. Was it because it was a positive statement? Too much evidence of editorial bias.

Curious to find that I’ve been blocked by James O'Brien Not sure why, perhaps from a while ago, but perhaps more resistant to polite challenge than one might expect.

Just read around a bit more. Can see there’s been a lot of heat coming #JamesOBrien way from all angles the last months, so understand why James O'Brien is quick to block. I thought I was being polite and within bounds, but get why his headspace needs limits.

Dame Sarah Mullally makes history as the first female Archbishop of Canterbury and the Sky news headline fails to name her but it’s ok, her husband is named instead 🙄. Congratulations Sarah #trailblazer
