Seeing more than a handful of corn and soybean fields popping up. Most of the fields planted on or before 4/14 are poking through. Consistent emergence = consistent earing = consistent yields

Soybean flowering has commenced in Central IA! Plot was planted on April 15th and each variety earlier than a 2.7 has started blooming! ⁦Golden Harvest Seeds⁩ ⁦GHX

Some Pythium and seedling diseases showing up in NE Iowa nibbling away at corn stands. Not surprising considering the rainfall we’ve seen in that area. Saw it across hybrids and across seed brands. Fields looking pretty good from the road, but need to get out to find the damage!

Starting to find some Tar Spot work its way up the canopy. This is in a field near Iowa City. Get out and scout, not too late for a fungicide app to keep that canopy clean! ⁦Syngenta US⁩ ⁦Golden Harvest Seeds

Some stark visuals on how that extra in-season N pass might be paying off this season. Nitrogen programs will really be showing differences come harvest time! ⁦Golden Harvest Seeds

Hard to find a better hybrid characteristic than brown husks on a green & clean plant (yea yea I know….YIELD). G03U08 along I-80 planted on May 6th. Could be shelling corn and testing out the dryer in a few short weeks

Southern Rust blowing up a bit in the canopy at our Kirkwood Community College Agronomy in Action site. Corn is about a quarter to half milkline. Same hybrid and Fungicide vs Untreated is about 100 feet apart. Syngenta US

Some crazy bad Tar Spot in some fields out there. This field might be one of the worst I’ve ever came across! We knew the environment was ripe for it, now we’re seeing some fields really falter. Better get out a scout to get your harvest plans ready!

Picket fence stands lead to picket fence ears. Pretty little maids all lined up in a row. G13U96 with ear consistency, great disease package, and comes with the Duracade trait. Great fit for that rough and tough acre

Even with the cool down last weekend, grain moistures are getting pulled down quickly. Likely close to a point per day. I’d expect to see that average potentially even rise with the 7 day forecast. Still some color in the crop though!@GldnHarvest

Late season plant health differences showing up drastically! Tar spot came in hard on this later planted trial. For reference, each of these treatment blocks have 4 different hybrids. Excited to see what the combine shows! Syngenta US Golden Harvest Seeds
