Thorsten Koch shows how much faster LP & MIP solvers got in the past 20 years. Result: You could argue anything between factor 20-1000000, but ~1000x is a fair claim. Most important is not the speed-up, but the amount of models we easily solve today but were hopeless then #EURO2022
