The young heifers are bought in for weighing. We aim to put them into calf with the bull when they are two years old to optimise their lifetime reproductive performance in the herd, but to achieve this they have to be carefully managed #Farm24

We have around 3000a of salt marsh with 1000 head of cattle helping to maintain breeding bird habitat. These guys have been in for sorting this week

Some scary moments yesterday. Some cattle stuck on the marsh and some people nearly stuck too! Everything ended well, all people, cattle and bikes off safe by the end of the day. Brilliant teamwork and some #Safety lessons learnt
