@RPPraise If you’re someone who struggles but still manages to write, we commend you. It takes a great deal of effort. But look after yourself first. If you feel like you can’t be online for a day, take a break. You’re here to have fun, don’t feel pressured into doing anything.

Check up on your writing partners, having a good level of communication with them out of character can help with plotting and muse things. It’s also just polite.

A list of terms for anyone who needs a reminder: RP: roleplay. FL: fake life (used by those who roleplay real people). SL: storyline. MV: multi-verse (more than one universe on an account). SV: single-verse. MS: multi-ship (more than one ship on an account). SS: single-ship.

Remember to give people a chance, especially if they’re new to roleplay. The only way anyone improves is by practicing; it may seem like long ago, but you were like them once. By being open to storylines with more people you’re teaching them in a way. Passing on your skills.

Sometimes writing with descriptive roleplayers can be intimidating, even if you’ve been complimented on your writing. Your replies are sufficient enough; you don’t need to feel intimidated by anyone. If someone does make you feel bad the block button is but a click away!

One of our admins has been feeling low lately because he’s in a not-so-popular fandom and struggles to get storylines so here’s a reminder: don’t give up on a character you’re passionate about because other people don’t see your talent. Just keep going. It’ll be worth it.

Message people for SL. Write solos. Push yourself. It’s hard but one day you’ll find writing partners you click with. If you’re in a fandom that’s died remember you’re a trailblazer. Thank you for giving us unique characters, you are appreciated.

The person you’re writing with isn’t the character they’re roleplaying. Stop treating writers like their characters.

Don’t like a ship? That’s fine. But don’t publicly shame the people who do unless there is a valid reason other than your personal preferences (please call out those who ship pedophilia, incest, abuse and that kind of thing).

And with that, I think we’ve all helped the roleplay community a little through this account. We’re collectively leaving. Remember to be polite and mature to your fellow roleplayers, and keep up the hard work you’re all putting in.
