'Limits to Growth' was published in 1972. Using the World3 computer model to simulate Earth & human system interactions, it predicted societal collapse to begin around about, err, now. 50 years on, World3 was updated with the latest input data. It gave the same answer. Oh joy!

And for those keeping track, global sea surface temperatures hit a new all-time modern record high yesterday, at 21.15°C. Yep. It's all going swimmingly, as they say.

Delighted to chat to BBC Scotland News about my research on #FeralPigs (or #WildBoar)! Much more needs to be done to inform and support communities living alongside the animals in the Great Glen. Here’s a short thread for #WorldRewildingDay 🧵 bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

We all love spending time in nature - and now we have proof that it's good for us! 💚🌼 New research from academics at Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience has shown that biodiversity is the key to the main mental health benefits of nature. 🏞️

My advice to grad students - learn to spot people like this, so you can avoid them the rest of your career. You’ll be happier and more successful without this type of toxicity in your life. Warning: Shockingly bad career advice below
