The skies above Moray right show the extent of the wildfires in the area. I’m calling for the Scottish Government’s resilience room to be activated in response to this incident. Further volunteers with specialist equipment have been requested, which reinforces this call.

While there is still work ongoing to monitor the aftermath of the wildfires over the last few days, I was pleased to lodge this motion in the Scottish Parliament praising the efforts of everyone involved in bringing the blazes under control.
