This is not good enough! This device is a essential tool for #NMD including #musculardystrophy for #ACT. Without it their would be far more hospital admissions for RTI. Clinician consensus is that it’s unethical to produce a #RCT randomising patients not to receive the device.

Interesting publication from our #phenodm1 data showing impaired performance in ADLs, particularly those requiring a high degree of muscle strength, stability, and coordination. The importance of #physio and #OT intervention in #DM1 should not be underestimated ACPIN Royal College of Occupational Therapists

#COVIDー19 #COVID_19uk worries about airway management? You’re forgetting a far more important procedure....do you know how to do a NPA? We need to decrease our false negative rates.. youtu.be/DVJNWefmHjE

Data from @ARTP_Research which matches testing data from our lab, and real world experience. Limitations in assured FIO2 delivery, but has a place in the current covid-19 climate if better options exhausted. Patient selection important where possible.

Prof Singer and Rebecca Livingston & the UCL Ventura CPAP device. A very useful addition to our CPAP armamentarium, esp in view of VIE & ward oxygen flow/pressure limits. High assured FiO2 & reliable PEEP. Amazing work - UCL Engineering Rebecca Shipley Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and team. UCLH

A chance to thank some of the non-medic heroes who are making our work possible. We UCLH are lucky to have an incredible procurement team led by the awesome Pia, with Tom on speed dial ! Always going above and beyond. Thank you guys!

This is what our clinic is for. To understand these ongoing symptoms and provide rehab options for people. There are gaps in funding for pulmonary rehab and breathing pattern retraining. Great to see our UCLH Covid Follow Up Clinic on BBC news at 6! Some brilliant, innovative clinicians talking to Sir Simon and Fergus Walsh including Mel, Toby and Rebecca. They started that service from a van outside the hospital and have helped nearly 1000 people since!

This is not only an example of the impact that AHPs have on patient care, but also the value of AHPs working together to improve outcomes. A brilliant example of how true MDT working can benefit patients. Jodi Allen Charlotte Massey UCLH Neuromuscular Complex Care Centre
