Just six moths in the trap last night; a Brindled Beauty, a Lesser Swallow Prominent, two Muslin Moths, an Early Grey and a Hebrew Character.

Just five moths trapped last night a Light Brown Apple Moth, three Muslin Moths and a nice Lime Hawkmoth.

In case you were wondering for the forthcoming weekend, Cley Beach Road is still closed, as are the carparks at Cley Visitor Centre, East Bank and Old Woman's Corner - and virtually all of the other carparks along this stretch of coast.

Spent a few hours at Eyebrook Reservoir early this morning and got some nice shots of a Barn Owl and this Badger that walked over the bridge towards me.

A bit frustrating not being able to spend time at my local birding sites, being limited to doing what I can whilst exercising locally, but spirits lifted when this fellow turned up in the garden this afternoon staying for about fifteen minutes.

Morning excercise produced forty-eight species, with a flushed Woodcock being the highlight.

Put the moth trap out last night for the first time in a while. Only six moths trapped, one of which was a garden lifer, The Streamer.

291 moths trapped last night that included five new for the year. Orange Swift, Ringed China-mark, Bordered Beauty, Pebble Prominent and Six-striped Rustic. Bordered Beauty was new for the garden and there was also three Tree-lichen Beauty.

Volunteered at the pop in COVID vaccination centre in the Haymarket in Leicester today. Extremely well organised and no need to book. You can get a jab if you are eligible and I doubt anyone waited more than ten minutes. Excellent initiative.

Three unusual visitors in the garden this morning, a male Great Spotted Woodpecker and a male and female Blackcap.
