Some of the stars of #TheBestYearsOfOurLives visited Trenton Central High School during my parents' time there, including Teresa Wright and Harold Russell (bringing his two Oscars). For a number of years after, the film's title was the theme of the school's yearbook. #TCMParty

Walked by the "Moonstruck" house a few weeks ago. Quiet, but if you listen closely, you can hear eggs frying and Vicki Carr singing. #TCMParty

Watching "Cat On a Hot Tin Roof" for the tenth (or more) time, and just realizing that Burl Ives (at 49) was only slightly more than a year older than his "son," Jack Carson #TCMParty

Always moving to watch Marlon Brando (and Rod Steiger) in the "I coulda been a contender" scene, but especially tonight on the 100th anniversary of his birth. #TCMParty

Props to CBS for repeating the @BillyJoel 100th concert at MSG in NYC on Friday. Yeah, the original ending last Sunday was a screw-up, but I appreciated the correction. To all that say they should run the whole thing without commercials, c'mon that wasn't the original promise.

"In my humble opinion, the two greatest improvements in American life over the past 20 years are the invention of TCM (a quality cinémathèque in everyone’s living room!) and the self-sticking postage stamp." - Paul Auster (1947-2024) #TCMParty

Just noticed that one of the Eastman employees, Miss Harper, is the same actress (Kasey Rogers) who played the devious Miriam (Mrs. Guy) Haines in "Strangers on a Train" the same year #APlaceintheSun #TCMParty
