How come Beto O'Rourke and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez work to raise money for struggling Texans, many of whom didn't vote for Beto and think AOC is a she-witch, doesn't count as a UNITY story? How come the media isn't spinning it that way? How come "unity" can only mean "giving the GOP what it wants"?

like i have said before, this is completely incoherent. “i believe partisan voting legislation will destroy our democracy which is why I want Congress to do nothing as states pass partisan voting legislation to destroy our democracy”

it'll never happen but i'd love a president to say "i think the court deals with too many issues of general public concern to be stacked with a bunch of law nerds"

i see we're back to the usual cycle. 1. refuse to engage the "culture war" or even offer the slightest pushback to GOP smears. 2. "address pocketbook issues" but don't actually pass legislation to that effect 3. lose and inevitably, 4. blame the left after the fact

it's fucking hilarious to me that a seemingly innocuous iOS update - allowing users to do a single-click opt in or out of data collection/tracking/analysis by apps - single-handedly torpedoed $10 billion and counting in Facebook's ad revenue

One potential takeaway from tonight is that the US is a center left country with a gerrymandering problem. If republicans are going to turn in a historically poor midterm performance now in this moment, a lot of talking heads need to re-evaluate their priors on this stuff.

This is genuinely an unbelievable thing to tweet when you’re in serious legal and business jeopardy. It is a masterpiece. The Mona Lisa.

What if, and I’m just spitballing here, the issue with FTX was the normalization of trading fake assets that anyone can invent out of thin air with no regulation and that have no underlying value. Nope, can’t be it.

I've seen enough: Janet Protasiewicz defeats Daniel Kelly for Wisconsin Supreme Court. The result flips ideological control of the court from conservative to liberal, a huge victory for the pro-choice side.
