We might have a new Prime Minister, but make no mistake, @TrussLiz played a huge role in a Government that has got us into this crisis The Tories have had 12 years to get it right yet millions of households and businesses are worse off. We need a The Labour Party Government now. #PMQs

I explained the strikes to my class today by discussing all the things schools need money for and then explaining that if schools give teachers more money, there will be no money for all those things!! So we want the government to give the schools more money. They got it!

Tomorrow teachers strike FOR the kids. For funding that means every child can have the teachers, resources and education they deserve. This strike will ensure our children get the quality of education they deserve. #teachersstrike

My class are aware I am striking tomorrow (letter went home to help) Today when I said, we won’t be here tomorrow etc. Most of my children replied, “Tomorrow we are on Strike as a class family!” Yes, yes we are! I teach Year 1 No negativity, no words or questions from parents.

None of my teaching colleagues want to strike tomorrow. We want to be in class, teaching our kids. But something has to change. My partner left because of stress. We are collectively getting poorer. That's why I'm striking.

OUR SCHOOLS AND CHILDREN DESERVE BETTER! It’s not fair that the government are saying that teacher pay rise should come from the already existing school budget. What do we cut? Equipment, resources, technology, furniture? It’s not right. We need more money invested in education.

500,000 workers take strike action today. They are taking on corporate and government greed and power. RT if you back every single individual who is on the picket lines today. #EnoughIsEnough

I support the #TeacherStrike. Teachers are the bedrock of a good society. They educate and look after the nation's children, they shape the future, they instil values and nuture. Teachers deserve to be paid fairly, to have a manageable workload and to be trusted professionals.

I am happy to stand by my teaching colleagues today- you do a fabulous job day in day out in difficult conditions for a shrinking pay packet. What the unions need to do next is stop the exploitation of supply colleagues low wages no sick pay,no access to teachers pension scheme.

300,000 teachers are on strike today. Why? 📉 Real pay down by 23% since 2010 📖 Devastating austerity cuts to school budgets 👩‍🏫 Stress, exhaustion and unbearable workloads amid a retention and recruitment crisis RT if you're with our teachers 👊

No-one makes the decision to go on strike lightly. Teachers are striking today because they, and our schools, are under-funded and under-valued. Failing to invest in education is future-discounting. It’s letting our children down. #TeacherStrike

It's like Boris Johnson is back answering questions to the Prime Minister. Rishi Sunak brushes aside allegations of wrongdoing just like Johnson did. We need a #GeneralElectionNow #PMQs
