The fight against Mpox is open on multiple fronts. In Amuru, UNICEF Uganda and WHO Uganda have joined forces with the district team to empower community influencers including VHTs, teachers, leaders (cultural, religious, political) with vital information.

Pallisa district has so far registered 2 confirmed #mpox cases. In partnership with USAID and other partners World Health Organization (WHO) is supporting Ministry of Health- Uganda respond to the outbreak in the district through surveillance, case management, contact tracing & risk communication.
