.WHO Uganda this year set up a breastfeeding room to encourage breastfeeding and work. Friendly workplace policies like breastfeeding breaks and rooms create an environment that benefits working mothers, their families and employers.
Over half of women in #Uganda experiences sexual and/or physical violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime. Under 2gether 4 SRHR program funded by @sida, World Health Organization (WHO) & partners supported training of 240 health workers & 75 district officers on preventing and responding to GBV.

In 2022, #Uganda reported over 94,000 TB cases of whom, 33% were HIV positive.
Through World Health Organization (WHO) and partners' support to Government of Uganda, people living with HIV are screened for TB and given preventive therapy or treatment.

In 2022, #Uganda recorded 52,000 new HIV infections. With our partners, we support Government of Uganda to prevent & manage #HIV by providing tools & financial support to train health workers in HIV mgt. We also provide mental health support to people living with the disease.
80,000 children in #Uganda live with #HIV . A program on the Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission of HIV has made remarkable results in reducing new infections among newborns. Thanks to efforts by Ministry of Health- Uganda World Health Organization (WHO) PEPFAR & other partners.
