In the wake of yesterday’s reprehensible attack on the U.S. Capitol, many prominent people – including journalists and politicians – have likened the United States to a banana republic. The slander reveals a faulty understanding of banana republics and of democracy in America.

Silencing speech is dangerous. It’s un-American. Sadly, this isn’t a new tactic of the Left. They’ve worked to silence opposing voices for years. We cannot let them silence 75M Americans. This isn’t the CCP.

Censorship, wokeness, political correctness, it all points in one direction – authoritarianism, cloaked as moral righteousness. It’s not who we are as Americans. It’s time that we simply put woke-ism to sleep.

I may not be able to fit in my battle dress uniform anymore, but leading CIA & Department of State, I constantly focused on protecting our great military and all Americans. If nothing else, our enemies knew: attack our soldiers & you will pay.

I set this page up 40 minutes ago and pushing 50 followers already. That is brilliant. I hope to make these numbers grow and over the weekend hope to set up a blog and start bringing more reading, and my take, on matters here.
