#CFBPlayoff. An easy call: Georgia Football Michigan Football TCU Football Ohio State Football. You’re welcome!
Although not our “yard art,” I kinda wish it was! Win or lose tonight, this year has been quite a ride…but I’m still rooting for the WIN! #GoFrogs TCU Football
This book—wow! I’ve been so focused on Lincoln the last few years that I am a little late to the party. But what a fantastic read! With all due respect to Scott Turow, this may now be my favorite book written by a first-year Harvard University law student. Thank you, Catherine Grace Katz!
A #balloon…Congressional hearings on #ClassifiedDocuments…the #earthquakeinturkey. All of these things matter. The Super Bowl and the #GRAMMYs, maybe not so much.
x.com/i/status/16595… “I do not know what the reason for your suffering is. But I do know what it isn’t. It is not that God doesn’t love you."--Timothy Keller (1950-2023)
Watching #Quarterback on Netflix. One thought: Kirk Cousins. What a great man! The Kansas City Chiefs may have won the Super Bowl, but Cousins is winning the game of life. Football is fun—but eternity is what matters.
I get it. Things happen. Things change. But I still miss The Civil Wars Lyrically. Vocally. Stage presence-ly (sorry!) Perfection. Thanks for the memories, Joy Williams and John Paul White We all know you said “Never again.” But how about “Maybe.”m.youtube.com/watch?v=8uuEDr…
Every February, l re-read amor towles’ #AGentlemanInMoscow. It’s just the best. This year’s reading is especially meaningful b/c it’s the first since Towles’ 2023 visit to Tulsa to accept the Helmerich Prize. Thanks, Amor, for coming to Tulsa and for your gift to the world!
I don’t give many books 5-star reviews. Every Erik Larson book so far has been an exception. His latest, “The Demon of Unrest,” adds to the streak. Fascinating people and momentous events, in Larson’s inimitable style. Bonus: He is speaking here in Tulsa next week. Can’t wait!
