Imagine being the only Black person in a multiple college classes and being told that you and people that look like you don’t deserve to be there and that you stole someone’s seat. That’s incredibly offensive.

My heart goes out to all of the Los Angeles Times staffers who have been laid off today. As someone who was laid off in the beginning of the pandemic by Gannett, I completely empathize with how frustrating and heartbreak this is. It's a gut punch. 1/3
