Congratulations Lois and Omar for winning the Public Service Prize in the George Gruner Awards for public service journalism. Daren Fraser of the Mid Valley Times was the public service winner in the small/weekly division.

This is still the most rewarding story I've ever reported. It was really cool to see it get some recognition at the Gruner awards last night, & I owe it all to the artists who generously shared their wisdom, hopes & dreams for Fresno's arts scene with me.
