After looking at higher resolution data, we actually measured 86.7 mph at 1920 CT at our Manhattan station. Important to note, station is not located in/near area of damage on campus. #kswx NWS Topeka

The Riley County Transfer Station at 1881 Henton Rd. will open at 10:00 a.m. today (Sunday) so people can dispose of storm debris. They will accept tree limbs, brush, and other plant debris only. No charge, NO TRASH at this time.

The pylon sign was damaged in the storm last night. Evergy is working to restore power to the terminal. Flights are still operating but please check with the airline for any delays or cancellations. aa.com.

You might know that we're heading towards a possible rail strike. What most of the media might not tell you is why. Railroad workers have been working for 3 years without a contract, and now railroad companies are holding the economy hostage to deny them a single sick day. 🧵

Call me a radical, but I happen to believe that rail workers are entitled to paid sick leave.
