Overnight we had five yes five air quality alerts for PM10 levels exceeding national standards at Camberwell, Maison Dieu, Singleton, Singleton NW & Mt Thorley. We have a serious problem in our district with air pollution which no one in government acknowledges.

The ROCD project is analysing & testing toxicity of coal dust from mines across Europe in attempt to understand the risks & produce technology to suppress dust exposure. We hope it will be relevant worldwide, reducing occurance of both pneumoconiosis & silicosis
