An emotional day saying goodbye to our Year Eleven’s today. I am so proud of how far they’ve come and can’t wait to see them smash their goals!

I had to cover a PE lesson today. First time playing rounders since I was at school. I was awful. I loved every second.

A fabulous evening last night at y11 prom. Enjoyed the doughnuts and a boogie on the dance floor.

Today I felt compelled to write a letter to the newest Secretary of State for Education. I've tried to encapsulate my experiences and observations - six months answering 'The Call' and a lifetime in education. It's more serious than my usual words but these are serious matters.

We teach the children in our schools respect. Integrity. Manners. Politeness. The power of using our voice. Consequences for our actions. And then our newest education minister shines the wonderful example of simply abandoning all that and brandishing hand gestures. Shameful.

The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.

Started my NPLT whilst 6 months pregnant. Continued to study whilst trying to navigate my way through motherhood. Happy that i've now summitted my assessment and learnt so much. Now to wait approx 3 months for my results 😬

Passed my NPQ leading teaching with Ambition Institute Started it at 6 months pregnant and continued doing it with a newborn! So happy 🥳
