It was a pleasure to show Rt Hon Andrew Stephenson CBE Mike Wood and Councillor Adam Davies around Resonance yesterday 🎵 During the visit, Resonance was described as a “fantastic organisation - a hidden gem in this area which should attract students from the length and breadth of the UK”.

On Tuesday, Mayor of the West Midlands officially opened our new studios at Resonance in Brierley Hill. We moved in at the start of a pandemic (!) and couldn’t be prouder of the 100+ local people who make sure two radio stations stay on air to be the voice of our community 🫶🏻

Our team are a mix of people from differing backgrounds, cultures and areas of expertise who have - across the years - given a voice to sectors of the Black Country who don’t always get to speak out 🗣️ From charities to support groups, story tellers and musicians.

We’ve supported events and good causes and pushed boundaries. We’ve worked with Samaritans to install signage, coordinated collections for people in need, delivered medicines and food parcels to the vulnerable…and played some great music at the same time! 🔊

It was a pleasure to welcome guests to our home and amazing to welcome two mayors, councillors, dignitaries and listeners to see the plaque being unveiled. It was also a pleasure to renew our commitment to #ProperLocalRadio, made in the Black Country.
