Trump just put the citizens of our capital under what's essentially martial law. And for what? To ignite fear and sell the lie that what he's doing to our country is in the name of "order." It's not. This is fascism.

ICE is abducting people off the street. Most of those people have no criminal record. Even those that do deserve a fair trial, not indefinite detention. This is a dangerous breach of due process.

Rep. Nicole Collier is suing Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows for unlawfully holding her captive inside the state capitol in Austin since MONDAY. He tried to coerce her into agreeing to 24/7 police surveillance by barring her from leaving the capitol building. Unacceptable!

This is not normal! There is NO reason for the National Guard to have taken over our capital city. Free DC!

Yesterday Trump said it out loud: “We haven’t had to bring in the regular military, which we’re willing to do.” Not the National Guard. The REGULAR MILITARY. First DC. Now, he’s threatening Chicago and New York. “Chicago is a mess. We’ll straighten that one out probably next,”
