We have to find someone to hold the parole board accountable and I feel like the only way to do that is to effect their pocket book. Make them do their job or get the hell out.

What I've heard from Alabama prisons this week: homeless men sleep on prison sidewalk, a man is kidnapped/held hostage/burned inside a prison & an officer is charged with murder after man is beaten to death at end of 20-year sentence. But we just need bigger buildings right?

Update: 1/ The Tweet about the officer involved beaten and death of Mr. Murray at Elmore was deleted in light of the fact that Mr. Murray was beaten by officers before he ever came into contact with the two incarcerated individuals that are also charged in the homicide.

When Leon woke up this morning he had no idea he would be coming home today. After 60 years in prison, his life sentence was commuted by the governor.

Incarceration should not mean not being able to financially provide for yourself & your family. Correctional systems are a multi billion dollar business & people should be paid a living wage for their work & it’s also an important part of rehabilitation.

The last week of July, Alabama's parole board denied release to 97% of people eligible for parole whose cases came before them. They granted just 3 paroles out of 92 cases considered. The parole board should be dissolved. Put a closed sign on the building. It's a sham.

Don't understand why you spoke negatively of the 16 yr old young man who went into action to defend an Elder. You said he didn't do anything and didn't deserve any contributions yet there are several videos showing him serving up sauce all over the place.

So far in Alabama prisons this year the death toll is at least 110 probably more since many natural deaths aren’t told. WE NEED HELP HERE!!!
