Because it seems that the XFL’s sole marketing strategy is leveraging Dwayne Johnson’s social media channels, I did a little analysis. On IG: The Rock’s posts about the XFL, on average, receive 14% of comments his normal posts get (average for XFL posts is ~1500 vs. ~7500 normally)

I said it before, and I’ll say it again: In year 2, the XFL needs to come with a BANGER marketing strategy, that doesn’t just rely on The Rock’s social media following to push this league to the forefront.

They also need to pull off the mother of all brand revitalizations because on a cultural level, the brand narrative of the XFL is that of failure (which to their, credit they’re trying to spin into a positive). Also, Dwayne Johnson if you see this please don’t beat me up ❤️.

Guys, I am sad to inform you that XFLfan1331 told me the league is dead despite all the money coming into it. sportsbusinessjournal.com/Journal/Issues…
