Trans people pose no threat to women’s rights, and a feminism that’s dedicated to protecting one type of woman over another is no feminism at all.   It’s liberation for all, not liberation for some.

A VERY important addition to the licensing policy for local taxi drivers so that women and marginalised people have plenty of options to get home safely and aren’t forced to use cash machines late at night. #tunbridgewells #royaltunbridgewells TWBC

This should be a valuable opportunity for the police to listen to women & girls about what they would like to see change to improve their safety.

Highlight of The Labour Party conference for me was meeting Shadow Minister for Domestic Violence & Safeguarding Jess Phillips at the rally against violence towards women & girls, to talk about Labour plan to *halve* VAWG & tell her about our campaign work in Tunbridge Wells Reclaim The Night Tunbridge Wells

Hello! I’m writing a piece about taxi drivers in #TunbridgeWells and why TWBC should be offering training to them on how to make women feel safe on their journeys home. Have you ever felt unsafe in a taxi in this area? Please get in touch! (Will be anon, of course) #journorequest

Fantastic to see The Alliance prioritising women’s safety in taxis and taking action after I raised this pertinent issue in a previous edition of Times Local News. We at Reclaim The Night Tunbridge Wells would love to collaborate with TWBC on these vital initiatives🫶

Glad to be told by Government that my and David Wolfson ‘s Private Member’s Bill - now the Protection from Sex-based Harassment in Public Act - will come into force on 1st October. From that date intentionally harassing women in public will be a specific crime for the first time.
