One Hogmanay I worked until 2am. I had to walk home because my route was closed for the street party. A man pulled me into an alleyway then laughed and said ‘JUST KIDDING - nobody gets attacked on New Year’s.’ I cried all the way home on the phone to my mum, who was also crying.
