Today I flew on an airplane, and the woman sitting next to me had on a mask the entire flight, so I minded my own fucking business because I have no idea if she’s immunocompromised or possibly protecting a loved one who is.

I’m torn. If I had the money to help my kiddo more, I would in a heartbeat. But I also know that he would never, ever hold this attitude re my finances. Also, retirement and elder care is expensive. Having savings to cover it when the time comes is a gift in and of itself.
